Public Service Jobs, like the Police, should be drug tested.

Two of the most important jobs affecting our society, policemen and teachers, should not only be drug tested but they should be IQ tested, empathy tested, history tested, etc. They should be culled down to the most intelligent, empathetic, humanitarian, enthusiastic, and the best of the best. They should also be paid top dollar. They should be clear of any short term profit motive. Short term profit motive is destroying our civilization - but that is another post.
The police are not paid enough to do a good job. They, for the most part, hate the communities they patrol.
The few blacks and other poor inhabitants of these communities that do make money, by dealing drugs, are no different that the 1% that make money the same way. The police who work these areas see this and act accordingly by their mentality.
I was really struck by Wilson's comment that he thought through whether the killing of Brown would be legal - as if as in any case it were legal it would be done as a matter of business.
